H&M and Isabel Marant are doing it

Isabel+Marant+SneakersAnyone that knows me knows that I love all things French. And when it comes to French fashion, no one captures the culture of Parisian streets like Isabel Marant.

A woman after my own heart, she is single-handedly responsible for the worldwide revival of high-tops. Making women who wouldn’t be caught dead wearing sneakers outside of the gym pay upwards of $800 for their chance to don the ultimate must-have shoe. What has made her sporty wedges such a sensation is how effortless they make putting an outfit together.

As you can imagine, isabel-marant-h-and-m-vogue-9jul13-twitter_b_426x639the rest of her designs embody the same no frills ease that the French are so famous for. And just when you thought you couldn’t love Isabel Marant any more, here comes her collab with H&M. In Isabel Marant’s own words, she created “something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which (she) think is very Parisian.” “You dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy.”

Now a clothing line that is inspired by my favorite city is definitely worth HandM-Vogue-11Jul13-PR_b_426x639getting excited about, collaboration or not. And even though I have until November 14th to get my hands on some of her coveted H&M pieces, there’s a lot to look forward to.

Her full collection will include clothes and accessories for both men and women, and will be available in 250 stores as well as online. And with H&M’s US online store launching in August, timing could not be better. In the meantime, as I count down the days until the collection becomes available I get to admire the sneak peek photos that H&M tweeted earlier this week.
