Vbeauté: Beauty Products Just How We Like’em

If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably been using the same old beauty products for ages. It makes perfect sense, they last forever and there’s little thought process that goes into replenishing your stash. So unless something truly amazing comes along or the promise of a formula is compelling enough, your skincare lineup will probably remain the same indefinitely.

But what if there was something different out there? What if there was a company that got you, the real you…knew what your needs were and addressed your fears. I mean, I don’t know of anyone that actually wants to put parabens on their skin or use anything that isn’t entirely natural. Yet, we all do it. Mostly because companies use harmful ingredients all of the time; some to preserve their products, others to give them color and while it’s perfectly legal, they are doing more harm than good.

Well, not all beauty companies are created equal. I got to chat with Julie Macklowe, Vogue’s ‘it girl’, New York socialite, wife, mother and founder of Vbeauté – a revolutionary line of skincare products, to get to the bottom of why we all could use a little purple in our beauty bags.

FW: I know that you were super successful in finance but then decided to change gears by delving into fashion and beauty. How did that come about?

JM: I actually met these two girls who started Bauble Bar. I ended up investing with them and it turned out really amazing. Then after doing finance for 12 years, I went to a friend’s wedding in Versailles. I have really sensitive skin, so I packed all of my favorite products. I had them all taken from me at the airport due to size restrictions. And after buying all new products in Paris, I ended up breaking out, which is how the idea of my travel kit came about.

FW: So how did the natural approach to beauty products take shape?

JM: I started researching ingredients that went into beauty products. I knew that I wanted a very clean anti-age line. I discovered the powers of the Alpine Rose plant from the Swiss Alps. It lives a 1oo plus years, constantly rejuvenating itself. It has near miraculous anti-aging abilities from adapting to harsh conditions like extreme cold, UV exposure, and severe dryness high up in the Alps. The same same technology is applied to skincare using stem cells from the plant. I then combined the Alpine Rose Botanical Technology with a patented anti-age BioCellular Peptide which reduces fine lines and wrinkles and is an active anti-aging ingredient.

FW: So what products does every girl need?

JM: There’s the Eye Never® Anti Aging Eye Cream, that you apply once in the morning and once at night. Then there’s the Undercover Agent® – Anti Wrinkle Serum which is great for hydration and anti-aging. Buying Time® Everyday Crème is a hypoallergenic nourishing moisturizer formulated with Ceramides 2 and 3, anti aging BioCellular Peptide and Swiss Alpine Rose Botanical Technology. It offers maximum hydration and clinically reduces lines and wrinkles in 30 days by boosting collagen and enriching your skin with antioxidants. There are also products for acne prone skin, lip anti-aging glosses and the entire vbeauté line is vegan, paraben free, fragrance free, gluten free, nut free, and oat free.

FW: What are these magical peptides?

JM: They actually relax your muscles. 100% of the people in our clinical study saw a dramatic change in their eye area; with discoloration, de-puffiness and fine lines and wrinkles in just 8 weeks.

FW: What is your vision for the company?

JM: I want all women to have access to great skincare, with emphasis on quality and value.

So now it’s up to you. Are you happy with your skincare regiment? Maybe it’s time to shake things up. Check out vbeauté’s products and see which work for your skin type.
