2014 Emmys Fashion

The 66th Annual Emmy Awards just ended and I must say, I really enjoyed the red carpet procession this year. For one, I was impressed with the number of dresses you can actually create in the color red and still have them stand out from one another. The other colors that dominated the red carpet were blue and while. So you can say that the night had a bit of a patriotic theme to it. Throw into the mix some fruity colors like citrus yellow, melon orange and berry pink and you have yourself a proverbial 4th fruit salad. If you missed the red carpet arrivals, here is your complete 2014 Emmys Fashion recap.

This was a tough one, because so many of the starlets looked outstanding tonight. But I wanted to share my absolute favorites and these 8 ladies truly made the cut. Choosing designs that were unique yet elegant every one of them looked stunning in their gown of choice – flattered both by the color and cut they had chosen.

From top left: Louise Roe in Monique Lhuillier, Kerry Washington in Prada, Camila Alves in Zuhair Murad, Hayden Panetierre in Lorena Sarbu.

From bottom left: Sofia Vergara in Roberto Cavalli, Sarah Paulson in Armani Prive, Kate Walsh in Stephane Rolland, Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan Atelier.

I have no words for my worst dressed list. From a dress that looks like it could have been made out of tissue paper to a dress inspired by Halloween, these actresses totally missed the mark in my eyes. Take a looks and see if you agree….

I hope you enjoyed by brief assessment. I would love to hear your take on the fashion choices from last night’s Emmys. Feel free to comment below.
